Offspring of the famed Uchi restaurant, with classy vibes and an array of delicious Japanese farmhouse style plates, recommended to us by Camille Styles.
Uchiko, translated as “child of Uchi,” is executive chef and sushi master Tyson Cole’s second restaurant after famous Uchi. But the food, wine and service found at Uchiko is every bit as top-notch as Uchi; in a new setting with a Japanese farmhouse aesthetic, crafted materials and warm finishes to round out the dining experience. Uchiko’s menu is a brand new selection of composed dishes and sushi, taken from ideas and dishes originally created at Uchi. The philosophy at Uchiko is to maintain the quality, creativity and freshness of the food they serve while striving to maintain a responsible policy towards sustainability, with the entire menu. The vibe is classy, but inviting, the tunes a mix of jazz, soul and rock.
